Details
During the main expedition, we will travel in a convey of seven four-wheel drive vehicles towing a boat, and carrying all our camping equipment.
Our team consists of six undergraduates, ten
postgraduates, five recent graduates, three experts (genetics, logistics and
communications) and the expedition leader.
We are joined by Dr Michel Claereboudt, a coral expert
from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), along with some of his students and
technicians.
We will camp on remote beaches for several days at a time, and work from these base camps to conduct surveys in all the neighbouring bays.
