Research interests
I work on the evolution of reproductive strategies. This involves a range of related questions at a number of levels. My main interests fall in two areas:
- Sex Allocation - The allocation of resources to male versus female reproduction, and especially explaining when and why individuals adjust the sex of their offspring in response to environmental conditions.
- Social Evolution: Cooperation & Conflict - The evolution of all forms of social behaviour, such as cooperation within or between species, aggression & fighting, and even spite.
